Incredible Himachal ! Unforgettable travel stories.

As a corporate professional, till few months back my life revolved around Monday blues, KPI’s, Targets and month end pressures.

Stuck in the office cubicle and lost in concrete jungle; wanted to get away from the usual 9am to 6pm mundane life.

So one fine day I decided to quit all the madness and find solace in nature, meet new people, reconnect with myself & most importantly experience life.

Finally after lot of Google search for best travel destinations & after some confusion I headed to beautiful Himachal Pradesh, it was the best decision.

Himachal Pradesh is also known as Dev Bhumi  (Land of God) located at foothills of western Himalayas & at the northern part of India.

Must say, Nature goddess has truly blessed this amazing place. Himachal itself means the abode of snow.
Surrounded by snow covered mountains, magnificent Himalaya, Baes river, thick forests Himachal Pradesh is a must visit destination.

1) Dharamshala

Located in the Kangra Valley & at a high altitude, the Dal lake and the presence of His Holiness Dalai Lama makes Dharamshala Top favorite travel place. Surrounded with lush green Deodar cider trees, Dharamshala is famous for it’s Tibetan culture.

Monastery tour at McLeodganj was the most surreal experience I have ever had. A larger than life Buddha statue is so divine & peaceful.

I had the yummiest Momos in Dharamshala. Hot & authentic momos with garam chai accompanied with unexpected rains in the valley, was the most delightful moment of my life. Priceless!
After Dharamshala it was time to leave for Manali.

2) Solang Valey

Situated at side at the top of Kullu valley,  14 kilometers away from Manali, is the most magnificent place I have been to. Solang valley is stunning and has beautiful glaciers.

This was my first time in snow and my joy knew no bounds after reaching solang valley. Yes!  I was like a baby jumping in snow with joy.

Pure white Snow capped mountains against the blue sky and  the white clouds is picturesque view. It’s like Nature God has painted some beautiful portrait.

After looking at the sun kissed mountain tops, I was speechless. I was lost after watching the beauty of solang valley. It felt so serene and calm.

This is the best thing about the Nature; it makes you forget everything & also makes you realize how insignificant we are.

I was also lucky to witness snowfall for the first time in my life. And those little moments & pleasures of relishing ice creams in the freezing cold weather are something else.

Para gliding in solang valley was the most exhilarating experience of my life. I finally had got wings and was flying high in the sky. It was so liberating.

Also did Yak riding, snow motor bike riding, skiing. It was the most adventurous and exciting day I ever had. And oh yes, wearing traditional Himachali dress was so much fun too!

And after all these adventurous roller coasters, if you are famished, there are stalls to serve with hot beverages and tasty snacks.

Sometimes it’s not just destination but journey too is beautiful.

On this journey, I met wonderful people, learned about new culture, connected with the fascinating nature and in the process discovered myself.

After exploring few other places, with a heavy heart I bid adios to this exceptionally amazing place but with a promise to come back again.

This beautiful Journey to Incredible Himachal will always be my favorite travel story!
